Synthetic Rubber Nitrile reduces the risk of latex allergies.
Q. Why use Nitrile instead of Latex?
A. Latex gloves, the most common type of examination glove used, have been known to cause allergic reactions in some users. This is much less likely with nitrile or vinyl gloves.
Q. Are the gloves sterile?
A. No. They should not be used for procedures requiring sterility, such as surgery. Consult your hospital's guidelines if you are unsure.
Q. What is the difference between powdered and powder-free gloves?
A. Powdered gloves are coated in cornstarch to make them easier to put on. However, cornstarch can impede healing if it gets in to cuts, meaning that unpowdered gloves are more commonly used.
